High-Strength Alloy Shackles with Grade 8 Performance

The Crosby G-209A Alloy Screw Pin Anchor Shackle combines the convenience of a screw pin connection with high-strength forged alloy construction. Engineered to meet the performance requirements of Grade 8 shackles, it provides increased Working Load Limits for demanding lifting and rigging applications.

Each G-209A shackle is forged from alloy steel, quenched and tempered, and fitted with an alloy screw pin. The Working Load Limit is permanently marked on every shackle, and the galvanized finish helps resist corrosion in demanding industrial environments. Crosby’s distinctive Red Pin® provides an easily recognized mark of genuine Crosby quality.

The Crosby G-209A is commonly used to connect wire rope, alloy chain, synthetic slings and other rigging components in crane, construction, manufacturing, marine and general material handling applications. Its higher Working Load Limits make it a strong choice where the convenience of a screw pin anchor shackle is preferred but greater capacity is needed.

4.5:1 design factor. Maximum proof load is two times the Working Load Limit in metric tons and 2.2 times the Working Load Limit in short tons. Working Load Limits may be reduced when shackles are subjected to side loading. Always follow the applicable manufacturer warnings and application instructions.
