Lift-All Roughneck™ Wire Mesh Slings

Roughneck™ Wire Mesh Slings from Lift-All offer rugged, reliable lifting performance in demanding environments such as steel service centers, metalworking shops, and anywhere loads may be hot, abrasive, or sharp-edged. Built from galvanized high-tensile wire mesh with durable alloy steel end fittings, these slings are designed for maximum load control, extended service life, and minimal stretch.

Two Sling Types Available

• Type 1 (Choker Style): Features a triangle and choker fitting. Ideal for secure single-leg choker hitches. Unlike other sling types, Roughneck Type 1 mesh slings do not require a capacity reduction when used in a choker hitch.
• Type 2 (Basket Style): Features a triangle at each end. Perfect for vertical or basket hitches. Provides balanced, wide contact area to distribute load forces effectively.

Wire Gauge Options

• 10 Gauge Mesh (Standard): Heavy-duty and most commonly ordered. Offers higher capacity, shorter lead times, and better pricing than 12 gauge.
• 12 Gauge Mesh (Optional): Medium-duty version available upon request for lighter-duty lifting applications.

Capacity Ranges by Mesh Gauge*

• 10 Gauge (2″ to 20″ wide): 2,300 to 24,000 lbs vertical / up to 48,000 lbs basket
• 12 Gauge (2″ to 12″ wide): 1,600 to 9,600 lbs vertical / up to 19,200 lbs basket

*Rated capacities are based on vertical and basket hitches. Sling capacity decreases as the angle from horizontal decreases. Do not use at angles below 30°.

Inspection & Maintenance

Wire mesh slings must be removed from service if they show signs of broken welds, damaged wires, end fitting wear, excessive corrosion, or deformation. Lift-All offers repair and recertification services for all brands of mesh slings.
