Safety & Installation Guidelines

• Never exceed the rated load capacity. The 5:1 safety factor is designed to protect against accidental misuse and dynamic forces.
• Always tighten to the recommended torque values and check periodically—bolts can loosen over time under vibration or repeated use.
• Ensure full material strength. The parent material should have a tensile strength of at least 80,000 PSI. For softer materials, consider a through-hole mount with a backing nut and washer.
• Avoid shock loading. Always lift gradually; sudden or impact loads can cause serious damage and require reinspection before reuse.
• Verify free movement. Make sure the hoist ring can pivot and rotate freely in all directions before each lift.
• Understand load distribution. Load on each hoist ring may exceed total weight divided by the number of rings—especially at shallow lifting angles or uneven loads.

Note: Regular inspection and proper installation are critical to safe operation. If shock loading or deformation is suspected, discontinue use and perform magnetic particle (Magnaflux) testing before returning the hoist ring to service.
